Holding Fast in a Season of Change

Dear Church Family,

If there’s one thing many of us are feeling right now, it’s this: a lot is changing.

Change can show up in many forms — new rhythms, new faces in the hall, new doorways, or even the sense that things simply feel different than they used to. For some, change brings excitement and anticipation. For others, it brings uncertainty, grief, or fatigue. Often, it brings a mix of all of the above.

As your pastor, I want to say this clearly and gently: I see the change, and I know it can feel unsettling. Scripture never pretends that change is easy, and neither should we.

But in the midst of all that is shifting, there is a truth we are holding onto together:

God has not changed.

The same God who has been faithful to this church in the past is faithful today.
The same Christ who called us, redeemed us, and walks with us still leads us forward.
The same Spirit who has sustained, comforted, and guided us is present and active now.

Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Our building may look different, but our foundation remains firm!

This season invites us not only to notice what is changing, but also to deepen our trust in the One who never does. It invites us to listen carefully, love one another generously, and move forward with humility and hope. Most of all, it invites us to remember that the church is not defined by what stays the same or what changes — it is defined by the God we belong to.

Thank you for your patience with one another. Thank you for your prayers, your honesty, and your faithfulness. We are walking this season together, confident that God is already at work ahead of us.

With hope and gratitude,

Pastor Kate
