RELAY FOR LIFE for the American Cancer Society
Have you or someone you know and love been touched by Cancer? Please consider participating in this year’s Relay for Life®. Relay, a 24 hour walk-a-thon, is a way to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much. The 2010 American Cancer Society Relay for Life is planned for May 22nd and 23rd and will again be at the Indiana School for the Blind at 75th and College.
The Meridian Street team will again be selling luminarias, which will be lit during the Relay. You might buy a luminaria to memorialize a friend or loved one you have lost to cancer, or to honor someone who is undergoing treatment. Luminarias will be offered for sale after worship on Sunday, May 2, May 9, and May 16.
On Sunday, May 16 the team will host a Relay for Life breakfast from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Good food for a good cause! Plan to stop by before or after worship and enjoy a nice breakfast! If you have questions about Relay, please contact Mary Sue McAlister at mcalister7353@sbcglobal.net.
