Encore Vocal Arts brings its special brand of choral music along with humorist and author Phil Gulley to Meridian Street on Saturday, February 27, at 8 p.m. This unique concert blends both the touching and the humorous as revealed in poetry set to music and parables written and delivered by Gulley. Featured will be works by Bloomington composer Malcolm Dalglish and other skilled songwriters paired with poetry by Wendell Berry and a host of others. The poems will be woven together by Gulley’s tongue-in-cheek humor and dry delivery style to produce an entertaining look at the human condition—with its beauty and pock marks alike!
