rocksolidlogo"Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock."  Matthew 7:24  Our Rock Solid Sunday School curriculum will help build a heart of faith in our children that will be a strong foundation for life!  The lessons will explore the Bible in new ways that will give each child the building blocks for a personal faith experience with God.

We begin our Sunday school lessons after Easter with Jesus’ appearance to Simon and Cleopas on the road to Emmaus. This lesson helps us to understand that Jesus is alive in the world today! We can see and feel his hand in the hearts and works of Christians all over the world.   We will continue with the ‘Great Commission’ which sets forth the mission statement of the church. God did not send Jesus to be the Savior of just the people of Palestine. Jesus was and is the Lord of whole world. The disciples at this point were done with their internship and ready to spread the good news

When Jesus was alive, he was a great teacher. He not only told his disciples what to do but also showed them. He set an example of service for them. In May, we will learn what it is like to be gifted helpers for Jesus. We will also study the story of Dorcas and Peter. This story teaches us that good works are admirable, but salvation is a gift from God.  We end our May lessons on Pentecost with the coming of the Holy Spirit. With the Holy Spirit, the disciples became speakers of the gospel message and the power of the Resurrection. When Peter told the crowd this message, 3000 people were converted to Christianity and the new church was born!
