Perhaps you are interested in what is involved in becoming a member of Meridian Street United Methodist Church. Our membership is the life blood of all that we are and do in carrying out our mission and fulfilling our role as one of God’s many churches.
Our membership philosophy is that we learn as we go. We believe that discipleship is a life long journey to be shared with others. Instead of long term membership classes that teach United Methodist doctrine and heritage before individuals can join we encourage all our people to participate in the Christian education studies we offer throughout the year. In this way we not only grow in our knowledge but create relationships with others who can share their own faith experiences.
Our only requirement for membership is that people affirm the basic tenants of the Faith recognized by Christians of all denominations across the world.
We offer several “Membership Interest” sessions throughout the year where folks can gather to learn about the church, its mission, programs, and people. Then a Sunday is selected when those who have made the decision to join are received in membership during one of the morning worship services.
