In the membership vows, one promises to support the church with prayers, presence, gifts and service.  At Meridian Street there are many ways to be in service both locally and globally.  You may serve as quickly and easily as recycling your newspapers in the bin in the church parking lot to traveling overseas to participate in a mission project.  You might be interested in greeting people as they enter for worship of Sundays or participating in our housing program for homeless families.  You might wish to offer your energy and gifts teaching in our Sunday School for children or youth or participating in a feeding program at one of our sister churches in the area.  You might enjoy sharing your talents as you join your voice with others in the Chancel Choir or ringing bells in a handbell choir.  You might be interested in participating in our Neighbor to Neighbor ministry which offers assistance homeowners in need of  help or you might prefer to take a trip and offer your skills on a week long mission trip somewhere in the United States.  The opportunities to serve and many.  Rev. Anne Rosebrock would love to assist you in finding just the right place to offer your service. Please contact her at arosebrock@msumc.org to get involved.

At Meridian Street we approach mission work and involvement through three committees and organizations in the church. In addition to financial support all are hands on as well, supporting people and places by volunteer work and time.

1. The United Methodist Women give thousands of dollars every year to projects and programs both near and far.

2. The Church & Community Committee deals specifically with agencies, programs, and people who are in and around the Indianapolis area.

3. The Mission Committee exists to provide outreach to our nation and world.

In addition to these agencies other groups such as Sunday School classes, the Youth Fellowship, church staff, and individual members contribute both financially and physically to our  outreach.
